Syedna Dr. Mufaddal Saifuddin (born in 1946) is the 53rd Da'i al-Mutlaq of the Dawoodi Bohra community, a prominent sect within the Shia Ismaili branch of Islam. Born on March 16, 1946, in Surat, Gujarat, India, he is the son of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin, the 52nd Da'i al-Mutlaq, and succeeded his father in 2014. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin received his early religious education in the traditional centers of learning associated with the Dawoodi Bohra community.
